Slava Rubin
Slava Rubin co-founded IndieGoGo to help independent filmmakers overcome fundraising challenges. He frequently speaks at conferences and writes on how technology impacts the industry, from finance to distribution. Recent appearances have included Sundance, Berlin, SXSW, Slamdance, IFP Film Week and Internet Week NY. Rubin also serves as an advisor to the IFP Film Week and Film Labs. Prior to IndieGoGo, he was a strategy consultant on projects from start-up marketing strategies to corporate execution, offering expertise in audience building, marketing and DIWO (Do-It-With-Others). Other projects include producing the short The Wonder of Sea-saws and starting Music Against Myeloma, an annual charity event that raises funds to fight cancer.
