The Embroidered Woman is a psychological drama with darkly Gothic undertones. Through Pia’s music, body, and growing sense of alienation from her self and the world around her, she traverses the perilous underworld of sights & sounds—the Gothic underbelly of New York.
On her journey, colors, sounds, images, spaces and the people around her conspire to create a cinematic puzzle—dissonant, alluring, and at times grotesque—powerfully evoking the con- tradictory forces she must rouse to reclaim her true nature.
