Kirsten has a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in public health. She began writing screenplays in 2006. She is finishing her first novel and is working to get a one-act play produced. She is always working on her next screenplay.

A weight management specialist from Philadelphia, gets a job opportunity in a small rural town that is dying of obesity related illnesses. She doesn't want to leave her boyfriend or other close friends but the job will pay her student loan so she doesn't feel like she can walk away from it. When she gets to the new town, things aren't what she imagined. Most of the people are overweight, but their lifestyles support overeating and she doesn't think she'll be able to create change. Her boyfriend dumps her. She decides to quit the job, go back home, and apologize to him for leaving so they can get back on track. Her dashing field supervisor changes her mind.Hands On
