ABOUT ME
Kat is an up-and-coming writer and director who tells the stories of fiercely independent and adventurous characters on-screen. With a background as an award-winning photojournalist, Kat has lived and worked around the world.

Kat's latest short film, MILA & MIMI TOO, premiered as an official selection of HBO'S WOMEN IN COMEDY FESTIVAL (2018) and her directing debut, THE DETAIL, premiered to a sold out crowd at CUCALORUS FESTIVAL (2017). Kat's is a SUNDANCE plus WOMEN IN FILM LAB FINANCING & STRATEGY LAB FELLOW (2017) and worked on the award-winning social impact campaigns for Participant Media's WAITING FOR 'SUPERMAN', CONTAGION and THE HELP.

Kat got her start in film and television in the art departments of DAWSON'S CREEK and HBO's IRON-JAWED ANGELS and is very proud of her work as an extra, playing an alien in Jim Henson's MUPPETS FROM SPACE - even though they cut her 1/2 second appearance - she was told it was to 'save time' which she thought she was literally doing.

Kat lives in Brooklyn with her wonderful wife and son.
