Full Bio
Viviane began her artistic career as a painter and sculptor, but as she went through the process of creating her own stop motion films, through painting and recording thousands of still images, she realized what truly interested her was the way the images transformed in the course of making a painting.

Filmmakers and advertising companies began commissioning and licensing her one-of-a- kind- hand painted animations. Her films have been shown internationally, including at the Imagine Science Film festival, MGM National Harbor and Amazon Video and her animations have been licensed by McCann Advertising and installed in hotels, Universities and Museums. She won the AWARD of EXCELLENCE in painting from The Edward Hopper House.

Viviane uses acrylic, gouache, pastel and pencil to generate magical realist sequences by modifying and shooting paintings over and over to create visceral and mesmerizing animations.

Viviane received a BA from Tufts University in Cognitive Psychology and Political Science and an MFA at the New York Academy of Art.

Solo exhibitions include the Edward Hopper House and Iron Gate East Gallery and group exhibitions at Davidson College, Marymount California University, Albright Knox Gallery, The Dahesh Museum, The Masur Museum and The Museo de la Cuidad - Mexico.

Her work is held in the Clinton Presidential Museum & Library, the Ziff Davis Collection, the Van Every-Smith Galleries at Davidson College,Vanderbilt University and the Tribeca Flashpoint Media Academy. Her outdoor sculpture, The Fault is permanently installed at Vanderbilt University. She has been written about in the Art Daily, The Wall Street Journal, Time Out New York and The New York Times.
