Chinese American Ching Juhl is a filmmaker, video journalist, concert violist and music educator. Juhl has directed, filmed and produced 3 feature films and many short documentaries.

“My Yang Gang Diary” (2021), a feature documentary by Ching Juhl was shot on iPhone won Best Feature Film at Toronto Documentary Film Festival. “Black Lives Matter” was world premiered at the SR Film Festival in 2020. A founder of Juhl Media, she has created and published more than 700 videos with topics ranging from current issues to education and from political events to live interviews.

As a violist, she has performed with Jade String Trio, Grand Teton Music Festival, Phoenix Symphony, ​Shanghai Symphony, ​as well as backing up in the Rod Stewart​ & Perry Como​ ​orchestras​​.

Educated at New York University (Video/Film), Indiana University (Music) and Shanghai Conservatory of Music, Ching Juhl taught at St. Joseph’s College and Long Island University. She directs and teaches violin/viola at Music Studio Manhattan. Ju
