Jennie Amias is an independent film and television producer, who has enjoyed a long and varied career working on a wide range of films and television programs.

Amias got her first taste of journalism serving in the Israeli military in the Army Spokesman s unit in the mid 1980s. She joined CNN s Israel bureau in 1991, covering the first Gulf War and then made the move to the US. Over the course of her career Jennie has lent her talents to numerous high-profile television series and feature documentaries.

Her television work includes co-production of two episodes of the award-winning PBS series American Masters. She was a staff producer on the acclaimed weekly news magazine NOW on PBS. Amias also produced episodes of Bloomberg TV s Innovators and CNBC s Meeting of the Minds. From 2014 2017 Amias was on staff as the Production Supervisor for Starfish Media Group, the production company headed by Soledad O Brien (now Soledad O Brien Productions). Her most recent television work was as Coordinating Producer for the ESPN series Basketball: A Love Story directed by Dan Klores.

Amias feature work includes the Academy Award nominated feature documentary No End in Sight directed by Charles Ferguson. The Armstrong Lie, directed by Alex Gibney, which was shortlisted for the Academy Award in 2014. She then produced Spring Broke, directed by Alison Ellwood, which was released on Showtime in 2016. Most recently Jennie has been working with Israeli director Dror Moreh on an upcoming feature doc and doc series for Showtime. In addition, she spent a year working on an upcoming feature documentary with director Brett Morgen.
