Amy B Tiong is an award-winning writer and director in New York City, focusing on female POC narratives.
Full Bio
Amy B Tiong is a graduate of NYU Tisch. Inspired by her immigrant parents, she tenaciously pursued her education, becoming a Gates Millennium Scholar, Tisch Dean’s Scholar, and Dean’s Scholar.
Amy's narrative short Take Care Zora, which she co-directed with Antonio Salume, was made in partnership with Ghetto Film School and Dolby. It premiered at the Lincoln Center & The Academy Museum of Motion Pictures.
She directed a project for Bustle as part of their New Filmmakers Series. Bitter Sweet garnered press from Elite Daily, NBC News, and The Connecticut Paper.PictureStart commissioned Amy's documentary and highlights the MMIW (Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women) movement.
Her feature script, When You're Ready To Go, is in pre-production and centers on a fast food delivery driver's immigration story. The script has made it to the finalist round of WeScreenplay, Screen Craft, and Stowe Story Lab Fellowships, making it the top 3% of scripts on Coverfly.
She is currently a production coordinato
