Jamilah Felix earned her BA in Television and Radio. She was awarded at the Brooklyn College Television and Radio Festival for Single Camera for her mini documentary. She is a professional event photographer and videographer who is skilled with Adobe Creative Suite and Apple Pro Apps Production Suite. Her work can be found at www.jamilahsimone.com.



Activism shapes her storytelling. She is currently on the board of the local community organization East Harlem Preservation as the Treasurer. As a community organizer, she leans into using media to highlight stories by those marginalized instead of simply _x001C_diversifying_x001D_ the current landscape with tokenization or race-swapped re-tellings of stories. She has completed multiple communications and narrative-building trainings and has facilitated conversations around the intersections of race, class, and gender - all of which inform her work.
