Kim Dempster
Kim Dempster began her filmmaking career in the late 80?s. She wrote produced and directed ?The Last Seduction? a short film examining the question of birth control and the sexes. The film was picked up by Paramount and played at theaters in Los Angeles. It garnished rave reviews in the papers including Pick of the Week in the LA Weekly. It also won awards at Sundance, Filmex, The San Francisco, Chicago and Houston Film Festivals. The next year Kim produced and directed a 30 minute film called ?Danny Irvine Always Has A Good Time? it was also met with outstanding reviews and once again was given Pick of the Week. ?Danny? did great in the festivals and later sold to A&E.
During this time Kim produced music videos and commercials to fund her films. In the 90?s she opened her own company Metro films with partner Jed Root. Kim began her career as a commercial director that has grown through the 90?s up until today. Some of
