Full Bio
Sylvia Wong Lewis is an award-winning filmmaker, journalist, and community volunteer. Her film ‘From Shanghai to Harlem,’ portrayed her grandmothers’ brave (Im)migration journeys from the Deep South and Caribbean. The radio drama 'Madame Tempy,' about her paternal grandmother, and other stories has been featured on BBC Radio and other media outlets. An avid tea enthusiast and urban gardener, Sylvia is the Narrative Network founder, a storytelling platform and production boutique that includes Auntyland and 1619Brooklyn.
