Marlyn Bandiero was born in Havana, Cuba and raised in New York City. After graduating Manhattan College with a bachelors degree in International Affairs she received a coveted internship in the United Nations where she researched and edited periodicals for the Department for Disarmament Affairs. She spent several years traveling between Italy, France and the United States, living and absorbing the different cultures and lifestyles. Her life and career took an unexpected turn when her husband, Al Bandiero, asked her to write and produce his nationally syndicated radio show clearing 225 national markets. It was a career change that would allow her to discover and develop a hidden talent for writing. After moving to Los Angeles with her husband, and booking principal roles in national commercials for such products as T-Mobile, Dodge, Bank of America, Toys R Us, and CVS as well as a role on the primetime series Fashion House, she decided to concentrate on her writing. She began freelancing as a screenwriter and her screenplay, Blue Betrayal has been nominated for Best Screenplay and Best Dramatic Scene in film festivals. Marlyn was also a top 10 finalist selected from over 2000 entries worldwide in a script competition held by Coppola/W Hotels/Intel.
