Amber Alesawy is an independent/freelance filmmaker and photographer that recently graduated from NYU Gallatin School of Individualized that studied socioecology and filmmaking. She is currently working on a documentary that showcases the NYC nightlife scene and its impact on social culture and social media. As well, she is partnering with NYU on a photographic project on Governors’s Island to showcase the relationship between native and invasive species that make up the current ecosystem.
