Executive Assistant (New York)

Family Entertainment Television (FETV), in New York, NY is looking for an experienced media Executive Assistant who is creative, optimistic and looking to be a part of an extraordinary company.

The Executive Assistant will assist the Executive Vice President with day to day activities and projects which impact overall New York operations; and provide support to the NY office as assigned by the EVP for a variety of tasks.

Responsibilities include:

Act as liaison between Executives and a wide array of internal and external contacts.

Screen and direct phone calls, draft and distribute correspondence as needed.

Schedule meetings.

Arrange travel schedule and organize travel arrangements with the travel department on behalf of EVP and other NY executives.

Manage office supply closet and kitchen with updates and overall cleanliness

Prepare expense reports for EVP, SVP and occasionally other NY sales executives.

Update regular reports as needed.

Process invoices.

Create and maintain Sales correspondence list.

Create and maintain Sales Policies and Procedures documents.

Schedule meetings and update/maintain upfront calendar.

Assist NY executives with special events/meeting set ups, preparing supplies, food orders and special items as needed.

Conduct research, prepare documents and gather information for correspondence and meetings.

Maintain the highest level of discretion and confidentiality.

Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.


Candidate Requirements


High school diploma required, Associates or Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

2-4 years of experience as an Executive Assistant, preferably in media.

Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook.

Ability to multitask, detail oriented, proactive, accustomed to working under deadlines, coachable, adapts positively and quickly to change. 

Excellent written, verbal, communication skills and with high level of accuracy required. 

A self-starter with strong organizational skills.

Ability to work independently as well as thrive in a team environment. 

Flexibility and receptiveness in learning new tasks, and managing time and priorities. 

Desire to move ahead but patience to wait for the next opportunity.
