Industry professionals will be in conversation discussing what you need to know about theatrical releases, digital advances, virtual tools, festival opportunities, production updates and more.

NYWIFT sits down with leading experts in physical and emotional health to discuss what we can do to continue to heal ourselves as this pandemic lockdown falls into its one year anniversary. We’ll be discussing ways to help people heal, thrive, and nourish their souls. This conversation will include Professional Athlete and Yoga Instructor Zachy Christodoulou and Head Coach of HG Life, Laurie Gerber.

Zachy Christodoulou is happy to be the first franchisee of PureFlo Yoga. Her Somerville studio will be the only one of its kind in Somerset County and will cater to the diverse communities in the surrounding area. Zachy brings 15 years of yoga experience as a teacher and instructor along with decades of dedication to fitness and personal training. As an accomplished athlete, triathlete, and mother of 3 she will bring a unique skill set to her yoga students. She looks forward to, “sharing a love of healthy and empowering life styles that combine the ancient concept of a healthy mind and a healthy body”. For many years, she has helped a wide range of clients improve their overall health through a customized training regimen that includes external connections with nature and awareness of the inner self. Zachy looks forward to bringing her love of life and emphasis on a holistic balance to improve the life force of the growing yoga community.

Laurie Gerber is one of the most engaging and effective life coaches and presenters in the country. After holding several positions at Handel Group® over the last 15 years, including President of HG Life, Laurie is currently living her dream as a diva and Head Coach of HG Life, empowering HG’s team of life coaches and thought leaders to deliver The Handel Method® with grace and wisdom to their thousands of clients. Laurie is out to change the world, and she has a passion for coaching people who share that mission. She especially loves helping couples. Laurie wholeheartedly believes that when “love” is truly treated as a verb, world peace is possible. She works to prove this theory every day. As an expert in lying, Laurie leads Handel Group in helping humanity see and feel the freedom that comes with truth-telling, and cleaning up our personal pollution: lies. Hers first – in 2019, Laurie proudly presented “The Secret-Free Diet” at TEDx Brooklyn. Laurie’s longtime dream has been to speak, write, lead workshops, and teach The Handel Method to millions of humans worldwide. As a proven example of the success of designing her life using HG’s coaching methodology, Laurie is now truly living that dream. Between podcasts, TEDx, IGTV, events and workshops with Zoosk, JDate, General Assembly, IvyConnect, Ellevate and numerous other respected organizations, Laurie impacts thousands of humans each month. Easmanie Michel (moderator) has worked continuously in the film and television industry since 2004. Michel’s work on films includes TransporterHoot and Miami Vice. Television projects include Miami Ink and Burn Notice. Michel is currently producing the feature Caroline’s Wedding, which she co-wrote, which was a finalist for the New York University Fusion Film Festival and it was also one of the scripts selected to participate in the Women at Sundance Financing and Strategy Intensive in 2016. In February of 2018 the script was the Grand Prize Winner of the American Zoetrope Screenplay Contest. Michel received the New York Council on the Arts Individual Artist grant for Caroline’s Wedding 2019 and she is currently completing Certificate in Financial Accounting at NYU. She also has Master’s Degree in Cinema Studies from New York University.
