Member Screening Series: Lost in Florence 

Join us for this month’s NYWIFT Member Screening Series featuring Lost in Florence by NYWIFT member Wendy Blackstone (Producer/Composer) and Evan Oppenheimer (Writer/Director). The filmmaker will be available for a Q&A immediately following the screening.

The screening series provides members with the opportunity to show their work in a theatrical setting. Screenings take place at Anthology Film Archives, followed by networking at a nearby bar.

Eric Lombard is at a crossroads – does he continue to pursue his long-shot dream of playing professional football, or does he start the next phase of his life, and apply to law school? As he struggles with this decision, Eric – along with his longtime girlfriend, Colleen – visits his cousin in Florence. There, to his surprise, he gets involved with the ancient local sport of Calcio Storico – and everything that Eric has assumed about his life is challenged.

Wendy Blackstone (center)

Wendy Blackstone has been involved with numerous films from the script stage and is currently overseeing the Film Division of the Blackstone Entertainment Group. She is also a much-decorated composer, having scored over one hundred film and television projects, including Love Walked, New Jersey Drive, Only You, Dear Diary and The Dutch Master, many of which have been nominated for or won Academy Awards and Emmys. Blackstone divides her time between New York and Tuscany.
