#36: Laura Dern
By Kathryn O’Kane
The award-winning American actress and producer Laura Dern has starred in some of the most well-known films, including Jurassic Park, October Sky, Wild, and The Fault in Our Stars. Most recently, she won an Emmy award for the wildly popular HBO mini-series Big Little Lies. She took to the Muse Awards stage in December 2017, the same month she appeared in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, the second film in the Star Wars sequel trilogy; right after Muse, she started making headlines for her powerful work in the groundbreaking HBO film The Tale.
“Thank you (NYWIFT) for the reminder of the work that needs to be done on a daily basis.” – Laura Dern at the 2017 Muse Awards
