Women’s Filmmaker Brunch at the 2014 Hamptons International Film Festival
Sunday, October 12, 12 pm
NYWIFT joins with the Hamptons International Film Festival (HIFF) to present a screening of short films showcasing outstanding achievements by women filmmakers. NYWIFT will also be hosting a brunch celebrating the work of women filmmakers at the festival. NYWIFT members are eligible for HIFF industry passes. 

Light Iron Presents: Navigating Technology in Production & Post
Tuesday, October 14, 6:30 pm
Join our panel of talented filmmakers as they explore the role of technology in the art and business of content creation. This engaging conversation, provided by Light Iron, will offer valuable insight on how to leverage the right technology at the right time to improve your craft, plus save time and money.

TV and Film Pitch Fest (new panelists announced!)
Thursday, October 16, 6 pm
NYWIFT members are invited to pitch their TV and film projects to a group of industry insiders who will critique them and provide constructive feedback. Projects can be in any genre, including TV shows, made-for-TV movies, narrative and documentary films, game shows, reality shows and children’s shows. 

Women in the Arts & Media Coalition Screening and VintAge Awards
Saturday, October 18, 1 pm
VintAge celebrates the voice and vision of women in the arts and media as they age. This year’s program features the documentary Advanced Style, about older women with unique personal styles and philosophies, plus the short Just the Three of Us, starring Leslie Uggams.

Lunchtime Skills Workshop – Partnering for Success: Creating Winning Collaborations

Join us for this month’s NYWIFT Member Screening Series featuring Red Father, directed by Tova Beck-Friedman, and By Any Means A-Veilable, directed by Charlotte Schiler, both of whom will be available for a Q&A following the films.
