Terry Lawler - Executive Director
Terry Lawler is Executive Director of New York Women in Film & Television. She is a Vice President/Board of Directors of the New York Production Alliance and serves on the advisory committee of Reel New York, an independent film and video series broadcast on WNET/13. She also serves on the Boards of the Manhattan Neighborhood Network and the Katahdin Foundation. Prior to joining NYWIFT, Lawler was Director of Development and Production at Women Make Movies and National Director of Film and Videomakers Services at the American Film Institute. She has been a media consultant for foundations and non-profit groups including the MacArthur Foundation, the Astraea Foundation, the National Museum of Women in the Arts, and the Goethe Institute, among others. She was production executive on several network television specials. She also was Executive Producer of Visions of Light: The Art of Cinematography (1992), which won Best Documentary awards from the American Society of Film Critics and the New York Film Critics Circle in 1992, and Hollywood Mavericks, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 1990.
Lamonia Brown - Program Coordinator
Lamonia Brown has worked in the music industry for more than 15 years in music publishing (Paisley Park, MCA Music) and international marketing (Sony Music Entertainment, BMG International). Brown attended Fordham University, Lincoln Center, where she majored in Media Studies, with a concentration in Film. She was recently voted Vice President of the Board of Directors for the New York chapter of the National Alliance of Market developers, where she is also head of chapter development. Brown is also on the business committee of the National Association of Black Female Executives in Music and Entertainment, where she serves as senior director of strategic marketing. Brown is a member of African American Women in Cinema and founding partner of Gilchrist Entertainment Marketing.
Josefa Jaime - Membership Coordinator
Josefa Jaime has been Membership Coordinator for New York Women in Film & Television since 2007. Josefa has worked in the industry as an Associate/Segment Producer and Researcher, most recently at VH1 for five and a half years. Her credits there include Black in the 80s, 50 Greatest Artists of Hip-Hop, 100 Greatest One Hit Wonders, 100 greatest Songs of the Past 25 Years, 100 Most Shocking Moments in Rock & Roll, and 100 Greatest Albums of Rock & Roll. From 1996 - 1999, she was Marketing Coordinator for Audio Services Company. Josefa continues to work as a Researcher for documentary, print, and literary projects.
Easmanie Michel - Executive Assistant
Easmanie Michel has worked continuously in the Film and Television industry since 2004, and a list of her accomplishments include executing a season of the TLC show, Miami Ink (2006), Transporter (2005), and Hoot (2006). Dorothy Rompalske - Newsletter Editor
Dorothy Rompalske, NYWIFT's newsletter editor is a writer/filmmaker, who has authored a number of feature film screenplays — Pilgrimage (currently in development), Passing (feature-length documentary), Cinema Combat: Hollywood Goes to War (Van Ness Films and the AMC cable network), and Falling Off Cloud Nine (co-writer). She produced, wrote and directed the award-winning film Good Fortune. Rompalske has also worked as a story analyst for several major film companies, including Universal Pictures. Rompalske teaches screenwriting at the Film School at Brooklyn College and collaborates with other writers as a private script doctor. Her magazine articles have been syndicated in publications worldwide.
