NYWIFT Programming Town Hall

To kick off NYWIFT's 35th Anniversary year, we're focusing on one of the key benefits of NYWIFT: its panels, workshops and programs. You're invited to a town hall meeting, hosted by the Programming Committee, on the future of NYWIFT programming. We want to hear your feedback and ideas!

The committee produces over 60 programs a year: panel discussions, keynote speakers and workshops covering a diverse set of topics. Presenters have included speakers from all areas of the business including top executives, filmmakers, web content creators, talent agents and entertainment attorneys.

NYWIFT's  programs are designed with the goal of helping our members further their careers. But to better serve our members, we need to hear from you—which programs work (or don't work), what programs or topics would you like to see, how can we improve the quality of our programs? Also, tell us how you would like to get involved in programming. This is your chance to let your voice be heard.

To help you in making suggestions for upcoming programs, we've attached a PDF that lists NYWIFT's programs from January 2010 through June 2012. You may also submit your questions or comments in advance to nywiftprogrammingtownhall@gmail.com.  Even if you don't plan to attend, you may still send in your questions or comments.

Your opinion matters to us! Join us at our first town hall meeting and share your vision for the future of programming.

Former NYWIFT President Laverne Berry will moderate the discussion.

Produced by the Iri Greco, Ylana Kellar, Thea Kerman and Octavia Taylor.

NYWIFT programs, screenings and events are supported, in part, by grants from New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council, and New York State Council on the Arts with the support of Governor Andrew Cuomo and the New York State Legislature.
