Love Under Glass
A short film by Diane Ingino

Standing up for yourself doesn’t always mean walking away – or does it?
An insecure artist risks her relationship in a struggle to reclaim her creative voice. Along the way, she faces a tempting offer, a marriage proposal, and an ominous warning from an eccentric stranger. As she grapples with difficult choices and the challenging process of self-discovery, she nearly resigns herself to give up on making art altogether—until she seizes an opportunity she somehow overlooked before.
Love Under Glass
is a character-driven dramatic short film about one woman’s struggle to achieve a rewarding, creative life while balancing personal relationships with the need for self-determination. With compelling characters and lighthearted comedic moments, the woman-centered script is a smart and witty adaptation of the short story "If Their Love Were the Biosphere" by New York author Jonathan Lethem.
Producer-Director Diane Ingino licensed the story from Lethem and collaborated on the screenplay with UK writer Sarah Daly, whose recent
Morgan M. Morgansen’s Date with Destiny
received praise at Sundance and SXSW. Ingino’s Story Engine Productions will shoot the project in New York City in May 2010. Using carefully selected locations, accomplished and talented actors, and a skillful crew, the production values will belie its low budget. In the lead roles are Josie Smith as Laurel, Jason Altman as Alan, and Pascal Yen-Pfister as Matthias.
Message from the filmmaker:
What brings you here? Are you a fan of Jonathan Lethem's stories and novels? Perhaps you’ve recently discovered Sarah Daly's music or her brilliant work on

. You could be a friend, family member, colleague, or acquaintance of director Diane Ingino, or close to one of our actors or crew members.
