Synopsis

It’s ladies’ night at the local dive bar, and Evelyn and Bianca are on the prowl for a mysterious stranger. But as the night unfolds, this psychological thriller pulls us into a darker reality than either woman expects, where posts turn dangerous and choices carry irreversible weight. When two friends begin competing for a man who is not what he seems, we confront the twisted dynamics of a social media–obsessed culture, the ways the patriarchy weaponizes women against one another, and the chilling realities of sexual assault.

Key Personnel

Marchelle Thurman (Producer) is a Chicago native and NYU Tisch alum, and a multihyphenate actor, writer, producer, and director. She is passionate about telling fresh stories and closing the industry’s gender gap, an ethos reflected in her web series Thru 25, which was created with an all-female crew and producing team. Her feature film Black White and the Greys, which she co-wrote, co-directed, produced, and starred in, featured a producing team that was 55% female and 70% from underrepresented groups. The film earned 10 awards, including Best Feature and Best of Festival at the Academy-Award qualifying BronzeLens Film Festival (2022), as well as Audience Choice at the Sedona International Film Festival (2022) and Festival of Cinema NYC (2022). Marchelle also received the NYWIFT Excellence in Directing Award at the SOHO International Film Festival (2022). The film is now distributed and streaming on Tubi and Amazon. She is currently in post-production on the short film Baby Steps, which also championed women behind the camera with an all-female producing team, director, and DP. Her notable acting credits include the upcoming film Madden, as well as Law & Order, FBI, Dynasty, NCIS: New Orleans, and the Sundance selected How to Tell You’re a Douchebag.

Nancy Nagrant (Director/Producer) is an award-winning actor and producer making her directorial debut with Gorgeous As You Are. Her years of experience as an actor in television, film, and theater shape her approach as a director, giving her insight into character, performance, and storytelling, while her producing background equips her to guide projects from development through distribution. As a Gex X woman, she brings both professional and life experience to her work, and is particularly committed to exploring stories centered on underrepresented protagonists, especially women. Nancy’s acting credits span television (The Equalizer, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Law & Order: SVU), independent film, and theater. She’ll also be seen in the upcoming Crystal Lake on Peacock (produced by A24). Early in her career, she was active in New York’s Off-Off-Broadway scene at venues such as Dixon Place, Gene Frankel, and The Kraine, focusing on developing new work and collaborating closely with writers and directors – experiences that inform her directorial perspective and her ability to shape storytelling and guide actors with empathy and precision. She began producing in 2014 and has since produced nine short films that have screened at major festivals, including Academy-Award qualifiers St. Louis, Woodstock, deadCenter, Reel Sisters, and LA Shorts, collecting more than 100 official selections, 25+ awards, and over 50 additional nominations. Nancy holds a B.A. in Theater Performance with a minor in Psychology from Western Michigan University. She is a 20+ year yogi and has practiced Vedic Meditation daily for over a decade, bringing mindfulness and intentionality to her work.

Keaton Morris-Stan (Writer/Actor/Producer) is an award-winning filmmaker and founder of Greater than the Sum, a Producing company that is dedicated to creation through collaboration. As a producer and writer, Keaton’s work has focused on telling divergent stories from an existential human perspective. Finding it essential to tell stories through the lens of those who experience them, she is committed to building a team that represents and reflects the story behind each film so that it is told with utmost authenticity. Since beginning her producing career in 2021, she has produced 5 short films, 3 of which are in post production, has 2 more shorts in development, and a feature film in the works. As an actor, her roles have ranged from perfect bride to runaway addict. Her passion for storytelling stems from learning new ways to perceive the world. She received a BA from Bard College, where she double-majored in Theater and Biology because it turns out she hates freetime. A dog mama, a sister, and a daughter, Keaton wouldn’t be where she is now without the loving support of her incredible family, nerdily named The Clan of the Morris-Stan.
