Still from First Look (1983)

A lively look at art in today’s Cuba and its historic first exhibit in the US — from the artworld of Havana to San Francisco and New York, where Cuban painters “Choco” Roca and Nelson Dominguez meet American masters Alice Neel, James Rosenquist, and a curious American public. Narrated by Harry Belafonte, FIRST LOOK challenges preconceived notions. It reflects the significant role of art in bridging barriers between people. “
