Safety on Set Workshop with Intact Insurance

Join NYWIFT for a virtual workshop with Intact Insurance on production set safety.

Erin Kelly (entertainment underwriting manager) and Chuck Redington (risk control manager) of Intact Insurance will share a presentation on set safety from pre-production through post-production. They will share valuable safety planning strategies that have been used to help productions run efficiently and lower costs associated with production delays.

This presentation will provide an opportunity to understand the risk management side of set safety planning and production insurance. A question and answer session will follow the presentation to provide an opportunity to ask questions with regard to production insurance, production underwriting and areas of impact for creating a safer set environment.

This event is FREE and open exclusively to NYWIFT members. Advance registration required.

Speakers:

Chuck Redington is Production Risk & Safety Manager at Intact Entertainment Insurance, bringing over 36 years of experience in the finance and insurance industry. For the past 22 years, he has been an integral part of Intact, where he specializes in managing production risks and safety protocols for film and television projects. Since 2008, Chuck has worked on hundreds of productions, helping filmmakers balance creative vision with safety and insurance needs. His expertise bridges the gap between storytelling and risk management, ensuring productions run smoothly, safely, and successfully.

Erin Kelly graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a degree in Film Production which led her to work on various documentary and television productions including the feature doc, “Knuckleball” and the CBS TV series, “Entertainment Tonight”. In 2016, she transitioned from production into entertainment insurance and has worked in several roles throughout her career including as an underwriter, senior underwriter, underwriting specialist and currently as the underwriting manager of the Film/TV/DICE focused segment of the Entertainment Department of Intact Insurance Group. Erin resides in New York City with her trusted companion Joanie (a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel). She still considers herself a “movie buff” and attempts to watch as many new films as possible each year.
