This event will take place at NYC’s historic National Arts Club and will open with a brief panel conversation among leaders from NYWIFT and HRTS. We hope you’ll come out and enjoy the gorgeous setting and great company.
The NYWIFT Night Out is a safe space to ask entertainment-related questions, seek advice, explore employment opportunities, and discover other industry connections. Bring your business cards and get ready to make connections!

Panelists

Julie Cavaliere is a Peabody nominated writer, director, producer, and actor who specializes in emotional and darkly comedic storytelling that blends traditional craft with emerging tech. As a recent Producers Guild of America (PGA) Innovation Award nominee, her work has been featured by The Guardian, Inc. Magazine, Hollywood Reporter, Forbes, Variety, and has been in competition at several festivals including The Venice International Film Festival (directorial debut), Festival des Cannes, and the Tribeca Festival. She serves as writer, director, and producer on the Meta produced animated anthology series, Reimagined – the third installment of which recently world premiered at SXSW.

Annamaria Sofillas is a development executive and producer. She’s currently a TV executive at Kino Lorber as the Director of Content, the lead producer of the Slamdance ‘24 documentary feature I’m “George Lucas”: A Connor Ratliff Story, and the executive producer of a new stand-up special from comedian Peter Murphy. Annamaria was an integral part of building NBCUniversal’s comedy streaming service Seeso and Gimlet Media’s scripted division, and was a creative lead on over 25 original multi-season television series and 30 stand-up specials, from creators including Dan Harmon, Will Sharpe, Kulap Vilaysack, Scott Aukerman, Wyatt Cenac, Sasheer Zamata, and Nick Thune. Previously, she had stints at IFC, Topic, and Focus Features. Annamaria graduated from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, is a member of the Television Academy, and is on the board of the HRTS Associates.

Kuye Youngblood is an Emmy award-winning producer with experience in scripted, documentary, stand-up comedy, and concert captures with a focus on series, shorts, and features. Formerly the Head of Development and Production, she is currently the General Manager of the BRIC TV network. Her responsibilities include creative development from script to screen, managing a team of dynamic filmmakers, and sourcing distribution opportunities for new film works. Her EP work has screened at Tribeca, Sundance, The Lower East Side Film Festival, New Voices in Black Cinema, Hot Docs, ABFF, UrbanWorld, Bentonville, Bushwick Film Festival, New Orleans Film Festival, and Seattle International Film Festival, among others. Original series include The Show About the Show, Brooklynification, Dinette, All Hail Beth, the Inspector Ike feature film, and the animated series United Space of America. She’s been a speaker and mentor at SXSW, a juror with SeriesFest, and a producer/moderator for IFP panels. She was also Series Producer for Neighborhood Beat, a show about her hometown of Brooklyn!

Katie Chambers (moderator) is a communications executive and event producer with a lifelong commitment to supporting artists and advocating for inclusion. She is currently the Senior Director of Community & Public Relations at NYWIFT, where she drives Communications and Membership strategy and co-produces Special Events including the Muse Awards for Women of Vision & Achievement. She received national recognition for her work at NYWIFT as one of Association Trends’ top “Young and Aspiring Executives” in 2021, and was recognized by New York Society of Association Executives with their “Rising Star” award in 2020. She serves on the board of one of New Jersey’s leading volunteer organizations, the NJ State Federation of Women’s Clubs (NJSFWC), and is a regular contributing writer for From Day One, a media outlet focused on innovations in corporate HR. Katie was previously a talent agent at Abrams Artists Agency, and has worked for leading entertainment companies including Buchwald, Manhattan Theatre Club, and Scott Rudin Productions. She has served on the Next Generation Committee of the NY Television Festival, produced a critically acclaimed play at the NY Fringe Festival, and her writing has been read by millions in Huff Post, Top Think, and several printed essay collections. She also has appeared on Cheddar News, iWomanTV, On New Jersey, and CBS New York. Katie graduated Phi Beta Kappa and Summa Cum Laude from Drew University with a double major in English and Theatre Arts.
