When Ellen (Erika Christensen) returns home to care for her estranged, ailing mother and the teenage daughter she left behind, she is caught between the weight of the past and the demands of the present. As her headstrong mother, Verna (Penelope Ann Miller), declines and deeply buried family secrets resurface, Ellen must face painful truths she has long avoided. Meanwhile, her daughter, Haley (Kiara Muhammad), struggles with school and the unraveling stability of home, leaving Ellen torn between two generations in need. In this heartfelt story, three generations of women confront old wounds and discover joy in one another as they redefine what it means to be family. After All is based on a true story.

Kerstin Karlhuber (Director & Producer): Kerstin Karlhuber is an award-winning filmmaker. Her first feature film, “Fair Haven,” has been called, “deftly and meticulously directed…A Don’t-Miss Indie” –Film Independent, and “A stirring, well-acted, tenderly wrought story” -LA Times. The film received US and European theatrical releases and was acquired by Showtime. “Fair Haven” was selected by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to be featured in the permanent Core Collection at the Academy Film Archive and Library. It has an extensive, world-wide fan base and became a #1 bestselling title on Amazon in multiple territories. Kerstin’s second feature film, “After All.” starring Erika Christensen and Penelope Ann Miller, will release theatrically across the US in October 2025. Early reviewers state, “A gut-wrenching story told through incredible photography and direction….there wasn’t a trivial moment.” -ABC7-TV Los Angeles.“ A throwback to when movies made you feel something emotionally…Christensen gives a performance so real, so raw, you’ll want to reach up and give her a hug after you wipe away your tears.” -KTLA-TV Los Angeles. Her third feature, “Mrs. Strissel and the Dogs,” is currently in pre-production. She holds an MFA in film production from Boston University and undergraduate degrees in musical theater from The American Musical and Dramatic Academy and The New School.

Jack Bryant (Screenwriter): Jack Bryant is a screenwriter, producer, blogger, and writing professor. He has worked with Silent Giant Productions on several projects, including Fair Haven and Legacy Cleaning, and with other production companies such as Faceless Fish and Ink Stories on film projects and video games. Jack has taught writing and film production at Rochester Institute of Technology, the New York Film Academy, and currently at Ithaca College. Jack earned a Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Production from Boston University where he began collaborating with director, Kerstin Karlhuber.

Erika Christensen (Ellen Sharpe & Executive Producer): Filmography includes roles in Traffic (2000), Swimfan (2002), The Banger Sisters (2002), The Perfect Score (2004), Flightplan (2005), How to Rob a Bank (2007), The Tortured (2010), and The Case for Christ (2017). For her performance in Traffic, she won the MTV Movie Award for Breakthrough Female Performance and the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture along with her co-stars. From 2010 until its ending in 2015, Christensen starred as Julia Braverman-Graham on the NBC family drama series Parenthood. In 2014, she won a Gracie Award for her performance in the role. Since 2023, she has been appearing as Angie Polaski in ABC’s Will Trent.

Kiara Muhammad (Haley Sharpe): From a young age she enjoyed entertaining. Whether it was singing, telling jokes, or hosting game nights she has always found a way to bring joy to her friends and family. She moved to Los Angeles at the age of eight to fully pursue acting. With the support of her parents her dreams finally came to fruition. As a kid she found a home with Disney, doing various spots in their tv shows and movies. Her most notable role is the series “Doc McStuffins” in which she played the titular character. She was able to be public schooled her entire childhood, so she participated in show choir and the tennis team after class. Once she graduated from Burbank High School, she attended University of Southern California where she earned a B.A. in Theatre. Since then she has starred in various national commercials as well as guest spots on network shows. You can most recently find her starring in her first lead role along side Erika Christensen and Penelope Ann Miller in the feature film “After All.” In her free time, Kiara enjoys hiking, karaoke, and hosting potlucks with her friends. She feels very blessed to have this job and can’t wait to see what the future has in store.
