Day 3: A Conversation with Entertainment Partners
Join Entertainment Partners’ Alexis Alexanian and Darren Willner for an in depth discussion of EP’s innovative solutions that support filmmakers from pre-production to final wrap and beyond. EP’s Production Management Studio delivers a digital toolkit for budgeting, scheduling, managing, and collaborating across the entire arc of a production, and EP’s Production Finance Studio provides an all-digital, integrated workflow for onboarding crew and talent, processing timecards, approving POs, or managing payroll and accounting records with real-time access to all production finance data anytime, at the studio, on location or when working remotely.
Alexis Alexanian has over 25+ years of film and television experience as an independent producer from her early days of production on films including Mississippi Burning, A Bonfire of the Vanities, A League of Their Own and Striptease. Alexis is well known from her role as President of the Board of Directors of New York Women in Film & Television from 2012-2017. Before starting at Entertainment Partners, Alexis was President of Production, at Locomotive, known for projects including Maggie’s Plan and Look Away. Her Elixir Films credits include Long Way Round, starring Ewan McGregor and Ethan Hawke’s The Hottest State. As co-founder of the groundbreaking digital initiative, InDigEnt, financed by IFC, she produced Sundance favorites Tadpole, Pieces of April, and Personal Velocity. As Vice President of Business Development at EP, Alexis brings her experience in production, independent filmmaking and industry relationships together with state of the art digital solutions, tax incentive work and lending opportunities. Alexis serves on the NYWIFT Advisory Board, BAFTA North America Board and New York Production Alliance. She is a graduate of Northwestern University and a member of the Council of 100.
Darren Willner has over 20 year’s experience in the entertainment industry taking a forward-thinking approach in gaps that technology could fill in an otherwise paper-based industry. After receiving his education at Emerson College in Boston, his interest in both entertainment and technology converged when working in production offices such as ER, My Name is Earl, and Parks and Recreation. Since 2012, Darren has helped to introduce production technologies such as Scenechronize, SmartHub, SmartStart, SmartPO, and SmartTime to the industry and continues to collaborate with studio and production professionals to advance the digital workflows in the backend production office. Currently, Darren leads a team of subject matter experts at Entertainment Partners as the Senior Director, Solution Consulting & Digital Success.
