#39: Victoria Alonso

Victoria Alonso is the Executive Vice President of Physical Production for Marvel Studios. She is credited for executive producing many action-packed films, including The Avengers, Guardians of the Galaxy and Captain America: The Winter Soldier among others, and for co-producing Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger. She began her career in the visual effects industry, working with top directors including Tim Burton, Ridley Scott and Andrew Adamson to name a few.
Since receiving the Muse Award in 2015, Alonso has gone on to receive numerous other industry awards including the Motion Picture Sound Editors Award and the Advanced Imaging Society’s Harold Lloyd Award, among others. Alonso, who is gay and is among the most prominent Latinx women in the entertainment industry, has been a leading voice for inclusiveness in Hollywood and an advocate for increased diverse representation among on-screen superheroes.

Welcome to NYWIFT, Kasey O’Brien! Kasey O’Brien (she/they) is a queer-identifying filmmaker based in Queens, working across both fictional narratives and documentaries. While she has dabbled in various positions in film production (including acting, writing, camera operation, and post-production), she is most at home directing and producing. Kasey was integral to the launch of NYU Tisch’s Master‘s in Virtual Production at the Martin Scorsese Virtual Production Center, whose inaugural cohort graduated in May 2025. She serves on the board of directors of PANO Network and is a founding member of The Garret Theatre Company. MFA from The New School. In our interview, Kasey discussed her journey to working in independent film production.
