Terry’s Picks: July 9

GO CHECK OUT:  Les Coquillettes opening at Museum of Modern Art on July 17th at 7:00 PM.  The film’s Writer and Director, Sophie Letourneur, will be there for an opening night with a Q & A.The film is about three women who attend the Locarno Film Fest and is hilarious.  It played at this year’s MOMA’s  New Directors/New Films Series.  

EXCITED ABOUT:  NYWIFT’s first ever Mid-Summer Night Out on Monday July 22nd from 6:30 – 8:30 PM at Butterfield 8. There will be complimentary light hors d’ouevres and a $5 cocktail special, perhaps with a Shakespearean name.  Come have a drink and learn more about NYWIFT. Members can bring a flash drive, tablet or laptop with their photo, resume or latest accomplishments, and we will help you update your listing in the NYWIFT Online Roster.

RECENTLY WATCHED:  What Maisie Knew which features a beautifully nuanced performance by Onata Aprile. It is definitely worth checking out.
