The Actors Fund is a nationwide human services organization that helps all professionals in performing arts and entertainment. The Fund is a source of information and support around key issues for entertainment industry professionals: Social Services, Housing, Health Services/Insurance and Employment. The Actors Fund Work Program – AWP – is a comprehensive employment and training program committed to fostering resiliency and self-reliance for industry professionals as well as providing a resource for referral of highly skilled and creative workers to the larger employment community.
NYWIFT members who have worked professionally for at least 5 years and can show earnings in the entertainment industry are welcome to join the program by attending an orientation, held every Monday, except holidays, from noon to 2:30 pm.
