Synopsis
The morning of March 8th seems like any other. Sam doesn’t notice that his wife Anita’s side of the bed has hardly been slept in. While brushing, he notices that her toothbrush isn’t in the holder. He can’t find it. Like every morning, his son, Jay, tries to negotiate staying in bed longer. His daughter, Zoe, isn’t in the bathroom or her bedroom, and her bed is made. The house is quiet, the blinds still shut. He lets the early-morning light in and goes to the kitchen, hoping to find the two of them at breakfast, but no one’s there.
Their phones keep going to voicemail. Neither Jay nor he recollects either of them mentioning an early-morning appointment. The car isn’t in the garage, and they aren’t in the laundry room, either. Anita never leaves the house without drinking coffee. His friend, Matt, calls to ask if Anita or Zoe have any idea where his wife, Meg, and daughter, Molly, might be. Hearing they aren’t home either, Sam tells Matt they must be together, as they do everything together. Jay, on his way to school, mentions that his girlfriend’s phone is going to voicemail, too. Though it all seems a bit odd, it might all just be a coincidence, and he doesn’t read too much into it.
Then Matt messages him, telling him to turn on the news…

Avani Parikh Dhar (Writer, Director, Producer): Avani is an NYC-based filmmaker and NYWIFT member, originally from India. With two decades of experience spanning casting to producing, she loves working on stories that engage audiences, expand ongoing conversations on social issues, and offer a different perspective on traditional tropes. Projects she has been a part of have screened at festivals such as Cannes, Slamdance, AFI Fest, Dances with Films, Tasveer, and NYIFF. Avani is developing two additional short films, three feature films, and an off-Broadway play. #NoMore is her directorial debut.
Darpan Joshi (Producer): Darpan is a story-driven producer specializing in narrative features, documentaries, and unscripted television. Known for championing distinct voices, he partners with both emerging and established talent to bring character-focused projects from early development through distribution. His collaborative approach ensures high-quality execution across a diverse slate of genres. His credits include multiple independent features and short films, as well as nationally and internationally broadcast television.
