Nadia Tass is one of Australias most acclaimed directors. Her debut feature MALCOLM (1986) brought box office and critical success, with 21 international awards and 8 AFI Awards, including Best Director for Best Film, the Byron Kennedy Award for the Pursuit of excellence, and the Sydney Critics Award for Best Director.
For television she directed STARK in 1993, a 3 part mini-series made for BBC UK/ABC Australia, based on Ben Eltons satirical novel.
Tass directed her first film in the United States in 1990 - PURE LUCK for Universal Studios, which starred Danny Glover and Martin Short. Other U.S. directing credits include THE MIRACLE WORKER (2000) CHILD STAR: THE SHIRLEY TEMPLE STORY (2001) for Disney, UNDERCOVER CHRISTMAS (2003) for CBS, SAMANTHA: AN AMERICAN GIRL HOLIDAY (2004) and FELICITY: AN AMERICAN GIRL ADVENTURE (2005) for WB.
