Nicole Gomez Fisher is the writer, director and producer of the feature film _x001C_Sleeping with the Fishes,_x001D_ starring Golden Globe Winner Gina Rodriguez, Steven Strait and Ana Ortiz. _x001C_Fishes_x001D_ aired on HBO, HBO Latino and HBO GO from 2014-2016, and can currently be seen on Amazon Prime Video and Fullscreen.



Nicole was nominated for The St. Louis International Film Festival_x0019_s New Filmmakers Emerging Director Award, and received the Brooklyn Film Festival_x0019_s award for Best New Director. In 2014 she was named Best Director at the Imagen Awards, founded by legendary television producer Norman Lear.



Starting out as an actress and stand-up comic, Nicole is a founding member of _x001C_The Hot Tamales Live!_x001D_, the Latina comedy tour produced by Eva Longoria and Kiki Melendez. She went on to write and perform her acclaimed one-woman show, _x001C_Mixed_x001D_, at the New York Underground Comedy Festival.
