Beth Riesgraf is a director, cinematographer, producer and actor whose work blends meticulous visual storytelling with character-driven narratives. Known for her ability to craft emotionally resonant stories with a distinct visual language, Riesgraf directs with clarity, confidence, and a collaborative, actor-focused approach.

Riesgraf’s directorial work spans award-winning short films, episodic television, and multimedia installations. Her short A Standard Story (2011) won Best of Show at the Best Shorts Competition and earned awards for creativity and performance at Indie Fest. Mail Companion (2020) was selected for LA Shorts International, The London International Short Film Festival, and Indie Fest. Her latest short, It Is What It Is (2023), screened at over a dozen festivals and won eight awards, including Best Director and Best Short of the Year. Riesgraf most recently served as Cinematographer and Producer on the feature film The Dosage Makes the Poison (2025), which is slated for release later this year.

In television, Riesgraf made her directorial mark on the highly anticipated Leverage: Redemption, serving as Executive Producer and directing five episodes of the series. Her work on the show demonstrates a mastery of pacing, tone, and ensemble performance, bringing a fresh cinematic perspective to episodic storytelling.

Riesgraf began her career as a fine art photographer, exhibiting internationally and published in GQ, NYLON, MEAN, and JANE. She transitioned to filmmaking in 2003 with the documentary short Far Away Swimming Pool, part of her critically lauded multimedia installation American Motel. Her artistic foundation informs every aspect of her directing, from composition and lighting to narrative rhythm and performance.

Based between Los Angeles, New York, and London, Riesgraf combines technical expertise, visual sophistication, and a collaborative approach to filmmaking. Her work consistently explores human complexity and connection, earning recognition for originality, precision, and emotional impact.
