Farah Otero-Amad is a seasoned video journalist from California. Most recently, she worked at The New York Times where she produced, wrote, shot, and edited short-form vertical videos featured on the newspaper's homepage and social platforms, reaching millions of viewers.
Previously, she produced investigative segments on pressing national issues for the Emmy-nominated Apple TV+ series, The Problem with Jon Stewart. She also served as a staff journalist at NBC News, where she produced short documentaries for digital and streaming platforms, including a three-part investigative series on Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell for Peacock TV.
In 2024, Farah received the Davis Projects for Peace Award to direct and produce a short documentary on hip-hop collectives in Medellin, Colombia, which went on to win Best Short Documentary at The New York Cinefest.
