Alee Ruggieri is a writer, director, and set decorator based in Brooklyn, New York. She graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in 2017 with a B.F.A. in Film & Television Production and a minor in Cinema Studies.

Ruggieri began her career in the set decoration department, working her way up from Production Assistant to Set Decoration Buyer on major television productions. Her credits include Set Decoration Buyer on American Horror Story: Delicate (Season 12) and Power Book II: Ghost (Seasons 3 and 4), working under Set Decorator Mila Khalevich, as well as Set Dresser on Only Murders in the Building (Seasons 4 and 5). Additional credits include Set Decoration Production Assistant on Manifest (Season 1) and Power Book II: Ghost (Season 2), and Production Designer for the music video Donnie Dix.

As a filmmaker, Ruggieri wrote and directed the short film Skinned (2025), which is currently on the festival circuit and was produced with fiscal sponsorship from Stowe Story Labs. She also directed the short film Woe Is Mary (2021), which received the Audience Choice Award at the Soho International Film Festival. She has also directed music videos for artists such as Mitch Meyer and Sweetbreads, to be released this year.

Her writing has been recognized by screenplay competitions, including Bloodletting, a television pilot that was a Quarterfinalist in the ScreenCraft Horror Screenplay Competition, and Dawn, a short screenplay that was a Semifinalist in the ScreenCraft Short Screenplay Competition. In 2024, she was selected for the Stowe Story Labs Narrative Lab with Bloodletting.
