Emily Carmen is a GRAMMY® For Your Consideration songwriter, composer, orchestrator, and electric violinist whose work blends cinematic textures with punk and alt-rock influences. A passionate advocate for disabled and chronically ill artists, Emily creates music that is both emotionally resonant and socially impactful.
She served as Music Supervisor Coordinator and Music Editor on Emergency Plan (2024), directed by Anna Pakman for the Easterseals Disability Film Challenge, and was a Composing Assistant to Steve Sandberg on Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go through an ASCAP fellowship awarded by Sue Devine. Emily has also worked as an Assistant Orchestrator to Sonny Kompanek on Serious Moonlight and other projects for Carter Burwell and the Coen Brothers.
As a studio musician and arranger, she has collaborated with producer Jared Lee Gosselin (Macy Gray) and released original music that centers accessibility and representation. Her second single, HEY!, featuring her signature electric violin style, was
