Full Bio
Born and raised in NYC, with some formative years in Oakland, CA, Jessica grew up in the epicenter of the counter-culture, surrounded by iconoclasts, artists, and revolutionary thinkers and activists. After graduating from Barnard College, Columbia University. After some years of working in social justice and education, she pivoted to film where she quickly recognized set decorators' desperate need for high-quality artwork for use as background set decoration. Jessica drew on her deep and diverse connections in the art world and launched Art for Film in 2006.

An industry innovator since its inception, Art for Film has since grown to be the largest and most-trusted source for high-quality cleared artwork, working with thousands of films, television shows, and commercials globally. Distinguished by the unparalleled diversity, range, and caliber of its artists, many winners or recipients of prestigious grants, fellowships and residencies, Art for Film is considered the industry “gold standard” not just for the quality and breadth of its art, but for its superb client service, lightning-fast turnaround, and the flexibility of selecting images to print-on-demand, from digital files, or from its vast warehoused inventory of over 2,000 pieces.

Despite its tremendous growth Art for Film has remained true to Jessica’s values - not only is the company fully woman-owned and operated, but, since its inception, the vast majority of the more than 125 exceptional artists that Art for Film represents, and whose careers it supports, have been women and artists of color – a rare exception in the art world.
