Lisa Ginsburg is an accomplished film and television director, writer, and editor. Lisa’s work features stories that push the envelope, challenge societal prejudice, and give a voice to the under-represented. Her award-winning dramatic shorts became smash hits in queer film festivals globally, including “Override,” her narrative music video available on Amazon Prime Video. Lisa’s directorial talent was recognized by acclaimed director, Jamie Babbitt, who awarded Lisa the highly competitive inaugural PowerUP! Grant to direct a dramatic short starring Ione Skye and Scout Taylor-Compton. Lisa is also a brilliant and insightful editor, crafting a layered, and emotionally impactful narrative with exceptional music and sound design. Her editing of Dee Mosbacher's Radical Harmonies, a documentary which chronicles the Women's Music Cultural Movement, won Outfest's Best Soundtrack award. When Ginsburg’s feature cover story for Asian Jewish Life, “Worlds Apart in Singapore,” was published it became a viral online sensation in Singapore and showcased in multiple news broadcasts and heritage exhibits. Einstein’s well-documented and photographed visit with her family was included in the Einstein Paper Project’s publication of Einstein’s travel diaries. Lisa is currently creating a dramatic television series, "Waringa Hill", based upon the adventures of three generations of her family in Singapore. Lisa is committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the film industry when hiring crew and casting for her own productions.
