Yianna Dellatolla is a Greek filmmaker based in Brooklyn. Her work explores character-driven narratives with humor. She has directed narrative shorts and TV documentaries, and works as a video editor for shorts and features. An NYU grad, she's written two features and several pilots.

Yianna Dellatolla is a Greek filmmaker based between Athens and Brooklyn. She focuses on character-driven stories (dramedies) that blend societal themes with humor.
She has written and directed a range of short films, including Mindora, The Iron Bar Chef, A Breath Away, Eli, Butterfly, and Invisible Paths, as well as web spots for brands like Vogue Jewelry and Watches, Twisted Classics, and 7moons. Yianna also collaborated with VICE Greece on two 40-minute documentary episodes, which aired on ANT1 TV. Her recent narrative short, Float, is a recipient of the Queens Arts fund. She also completed the production of the short film Kisses from the beach . In addition to her directing work, she freelances as a film editor for both narrative and documentary projects.
Her feature script Grassland (ensemble family dramedy) was selected for the inaugural Mediterranean Sundance Workshop and pre-selected for the International Sundance Lab. She wrote her next feature script, Us, Three (buddy comedy) and she is currently writing the TV comedy pilot Float (based on the short film).
Yianna holds an MFA in Filmmaking from Tisch School of the Arts. She also holds a Master's in Development Studies from SOAS and a Bachelor's in Political Science from Tufts University
