Full Bio
Mika Orr started her career as a film director at the age of 15. Since then, she has been the documentary DP for award winning feature films (_x001C_Chronicle of a kidnap_x001D_, _x001C_Stains_x001D_) and director of a short BTS documentary of Academy Award winner Natalie Portman's directorial debut as well as for Academy award winner Alexander Dinelaris_x0019_s film.







In May 2017, she earned a master's degree with honors from the School of Visual Arts in New York. Her short film Professional Cuddler, was selected for over 35 film festivals and won 7 awards.







In 2008 she established her own production company, Mikooka Productions, and directed hundreds of marketing videos, commercials and documentaries for clients like Google, Coca Cola, Spin Master, Yad Vashem, and The European Union.



In March 2020 Mika finished DUET, another short fiction film she wrote and directed.

2018



Executive Producer for a Commercial that was a finalist in the 2018 Coca-Cola Regal Films Competition, directed by Amanda Alvich. The commercial played in Regal theaters throughout the country.

Writer and Director of her project AMiNORMAL , a digital documentary/animation series, a co-production between Arte and Kan, the Israeli public channel.

Founder and Creative Director of Mikooka Productions. Mika was the writer, director and executive producer of the following:



BTS documentaries on numerous feature projects of leading filmmakers. Academy Award winner Natalie Portman s directorial debut ( A Tale of Love and Darkness ), Academy Award winner Alexander Dinelaris (writer of Birdman ) and Academy Award nominee Joseph Cedar ( Footnote ).
