A graduate of Carnegie Mellon University
with a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering,
Nicole A. West has worked at several visual effects
studios (Digital Domain, Double Negative (DNEG),
Tiltshift, Brud) developing pipelines and workflows
for films (X-Men Days of Future Past, Enders Game,
Terminator Genisys, Venom) and other forms of media
(lil Miquela). In her role as technical director,
in addition to occasional shot development, she serves
as a bridge of communication between production and
RND departments, helping to establish technical
specifications and develop RND roadmaps that support
efficient production workflows.
