Before reaching high school, Samantha had already attended 13 different schools across the United States (not an army kid, just circumstances). Growing up on the move taught her how to adapt quickly, connect deeply, and find creativity in constant change - qualities that molded her into an excellent ER physician. Fast forward to the present, and this unconventional upbringing helped shape an actor with a keen understanding of human nature. Whether she's the cutting-edge healer, justice-bound mother, or power behind the badge, her characters are grounded and purposeful - the absolute calm in chaos - the kind of presence that holds the center when everything's on fire.

Off set, she's a futbol-loving, international traveling, punk rock grrl who makes biscotti even Stanley Tucci would approve of. And yes, her rescue pup, GiGi, agrees.
