Director, Producer, Assistant DirectorBrazilian filmmaker Nicole Quinderé Duarte is a New York-based director, producer, and assistant director whose credits span award-winning short films, feature films, and television pilots.
Full Bio
Nicole Quinderé Duarte is a New York–based filmmaker and School of Visual Arts graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Film. Her experience spans producing, assistant directing, and directing, allowing her to work on both the creative and practical sides of a production.
As a Producer and Line Producer, Nicole has worked on projects including The Well Frog, The Fourth Rule, Gratia Artis, and The Feeling of Murder. She enjoys the process of taking a project from an idea on the page to something that can actually come together on set, from scheduling and coordinating cast and crew to locations, permits, and the many details that keep a production running.
As an Assistant Director, Nicole has worked on short films, features, pilots, and other projects, including Sunnyside, Behind the Attic Door, When I Realized I Was a Bad Feminist, I Am an Artist, The Interview, Spring and a Storm, Sweet Dove, Anomie, Lore of Lavender, The Bug, and Kinderwhore. Her experience on set has taught her how to stay organized, communicate clearly, and keep a production moving while supporting the director and the rest of the crew.
As a Director, Nicole has directed The Last Meal, Vindicta, and Gratia Artis. Her work explores darker and character-driven stories, with experience across psychological thriller, horror, drama, and dark comedy.
Outside of her film credits, Nicole has worked as a producer’s assistant, production intern, teacher’s assistant, content creator, and freelance photographer. These experiences have given her the opportunity to learn from different sides of the industry and continue developing her voice as a filmmaker.
Nicole is passionate about storytelling and the collaborative nature of filmmaking. Whether she is producing a project, working alongside a director as an AD, or directing her own work, she brings a hands-on, organized, and creative approach to every production.
