Documentarian, Assistant DirectorBelen Vilarrasa-Corriero is a Spanish-American filmmaker making her directorial debut in documentary film. Drawn to storytelling rooted in personal heritage, Belen believes that some of the most powerful narratives are found within our own families.
Full Bio
Born and raised in New York City in a bilingual household, Belén developed an early appreciation for navigating different cultures, an influence that shapes her filmmaking today. Her directorial debut, Entre Las Paredes (Within the Walls), now in development as a feature-length documentary, follows her Abuela’s last days and reflects Belén’s passion for intimate, intergenerational stories.
Alongside her own projects, Belén works as an Assistant Director on narrative and commercial productions, where her focus, adaptability, and collaborative spirit keep sets running smoothly. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts, she continues to grow her craft through diverse filmmaking experiences, driven by a dedication to emotionally resonant, visually compelling storytelling.
