Thea J. Kerman has over 25 years of legal experience and is an expert in the entertainment, merchandising, toy and licensing industries. Her broad range of experience in the entertainment industry includes theatrical films, live action and animated episodic television programs, broadcast and cable television movies of the week, documentaries, live theater, and sound recordings.



Prior to establishing her own law firm in 1990 in Los Angeles, Ms. Kerman was the Senior Production Counsel for Tri-Star Pictures. Earlier she served as General Counsel for the Marvel Comics Group.



Among the theatrical films on which she has worked are Bats, Donnie Brasco, The Fisher King, Hairspray, Hook, and Warriors of Virtue. She recently finished working on The Cutting Edge, The Magic of Movie Editing, a feature length documentary on the history of film editing.
