Natasha Brown is a New Orleans-born, New York-based actor and writer whose work spans film, television and theater.

Natasha Brown is an actor, writer, and producer from New Orleans who is based in NY. Natasha has appeared in a number of film and television projects, and began her career as a NYC-based theatre actor. Select credits include: Proof as Claire (co-lead) in 2011 (Off-Broadway, Gene Frankel Theatre, NYC); Executrix as Missy (lead) in 2018 (The Fortress, New Orleans); Barbecue as Adlean (supporting) in 2019, which was noted as one of the most engaging works of New Orleans theatre; and Tony ’n Tina’s Wedding as Connie-the-Prego-Bridesmaid (2013–2020, New Orleans tours). Natasha was also nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the 2022 New Orleans 48 Hour Film Project for short film, Isolate.
Some of Natasha’s writing accolades include the KCWiFT Audience Choice Award (Hill Country, 2020), KCWiFT Best
Screenplay Competition Finalist (Outlaw Sue, 2018), and an Honorable Mention in the NYC
Young Playwrights Competition with Stephen Sondheim (Stranger, 2000).
She made her actor/writer/producer debut with Message Intercepted, an Official Selection at the 2019 Backyard Film Festival. She is currently writing a television pilot and will produce another film short this summer in upstate New York. Natasha performs regularly with her Hudson Valley improv troupe, Prometheus Studios, and locally produced storytelling events, including Secret Sessions and Twice Told in Beacon, NY.
Natasha trained at The Esper Studio NYC Acting Conservatory and has attended competitive writing programs including The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts (NOCCA), Columbia University, and The University of Iowa Writers Workshop. More recently, she was accepted into Pam Houston’s DRAFT Program for her auto-fiction exploring her upbringing in New Orleans and New York City.
Her creative production experience spans large-scale immersive theatre projects like Look Don’t Tell (Belle Fete
Productions, New Orleans, 2019) and Landscape with Figures (Contemporary Arts Center of New Orleans, 2019), fundraising docu-series social impact shorts (Land Trust for Louisiana, 2021-2022), and reels and commercials for various
commercial clients.
Natasha daylights as a Corporate Communications & Project Management professional, and leverages her
expertise to elevate her creative projects both on and off screen and stage.
