Full Bio
Over the last decade or so, Amy Nicholson has produced and directed four documentaries. Her award-winning short, Beauty School, premiered at Hot Docs and secured a PBS broadcast. Her first feature, Muskrat Lovely, premiered in competition at the Hamptons and won a coveted slot on the EmmyAward-winning Independent Lens. Her second feature, Zipper, premiered to sold-out audiences in New York, screened at the Laemmle and the IFC Center, and was broadcast on WNET/PBS. Amy's films have been reviewed by The New York Times, Variety, Indiewire and the Wall Street Journal. Her latest project is Pickle, an award-winning short that got national theatrical distribution, was chosen for New York Times' Op Docs, and qualified for an Oscar.
