Deya is an award winning creator for the screen and stage whose work has been showcased and presented throughout the world.

Full Bio
Deya is a writer/producer/actor (and toddler mom). She was born in Carson City, Nevada, and also spent time in Houston, Texas, Omaha, Nebraska, Chicago, Illinois, Los Angeles, California and Berkeley, California. She currently calls the New York City area home.



Her plays have been produced/read/developed at The Barrow Group, Primary Stages and The New York International Fringe Festival. Her play Escape (Austin Film Festival Playwriting Competition - Second Round) premiered at The Bank Street Theater in New York in 2018. It was called _x001C_a defense of victims and an endorsement of the #MeToo Movement_x001D_ _x0013_ Theatre Is Easy and _x001C_a compelling story of the dynamics between men and women in the workplace and society at large, and&powerful people and their sycophants._x001D_ _x0013_ Opplaud.com



Her films, as a writer/producer, have screened at Palm Springs International Shortfest, The Vault Film Festival, SXSW, Golden Nugget International Film Festival (Best Mobile Short), Indie Shorts
