Fozhan (Fou) Gharib is a New York–based director, editor, and actor working at the intersection of political storytelling and technical post-production innovation. She is the writer and director of Night of Melancholia (2026), a psychological political drama exploring memory erasure and resistance under authoritarian power.
Her producing and acting work on British Passport (2023) garnered over 70 international festival selections worldwide. As an editor, she specializes in narrative montage construction, VFX integration, and AI-assisted workflows, with professional experience across commercial, social, and live-event productions.
Gharib holds an MA in Media Studies from The New School, where she serves as a Technical Teaching Assistant in post-production, supporting advanced Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve workflows. Her background bridges cinematic storytelling with deep technical fluency in media management, color pipelines, and emerging AI tools.
